Yes, Sailor Moon had a strong influence on Anime that the references to her did show up in some other Anime episodes such as Excel Saga, Gundam series, and of course there's this Tokyo Mew Mew.

In the mangas, Excel Saga showed up dressed like a sailor senshi in it and she decided that it sucked.
That showed how much of Sailor Moon's influence.

That's what my father said about his old toys too. ^^ Some of his old toys turned out to be worth $150 or more. He had lost some of his 1950s baseball collection when his mother threw some away as a punishment for not cleaning up his room. I once looked at the price guide of 1950s cards out of curiosity and the values are..... *eyes size of dinner plates*.
I am so glad that I still kept my original Transformers toys from 1980s especially my treasured boxed Fortress Maximum (worth $1000).

Dude...my dad spent all summer selling his baseball cards on eBay. I couldn't figure out why he wanted to sell them though. I would NEVER sell my old Pokemon cards (I only had like 20 though...heh).
