              "Seven Rings in hand,
              Arrowed hearts, catch fire now!"

              Yep, another old idea I let sit around for some time. But I had only sketched out a quick base/composition idea (stick figure base ), so everything after that was basically brand new. I had two different pose ideas for Sonic that I couldn't decide on, one of the reasons I stalled on it aside from not feeling like dealing with drawing all the details. xD; Plus I had other drawings I was more interested in at the time. I just scribbled it out because I liked the idea and didn't want to forget it. So yeah, the idea was started July last year. Since I've been into completing some old projects I started on, with newer ideas out of the way, I decided to try this one next.

              I'll say this: this turned out way more detailed than I planned. I had no ideas for a background, but then it's like, "YEAH, STARRY BACKGROUND TIME. 8D" But of course, I had to add in other things, so I attempted adding in the moon and buildings to spice things up, and the sand of course. Doing the effects and craters on the moon is still a challenge I'm trying to learn. Working with flames is also fun to experiment with. I gave Shahra the Yellow World Ring because I remembered that was the ring of joy.

            Drawing this made me want to play this game again, haha. I only ever played it once some years ago, but I remembered being entertained by the story. I recently picked it up again last week to revisit it a little. I really liked it and thought it was cute, and kind of sweet. "But Sonic's line about wishing for a mountain of handkerchiefs at the end was--" whatever. Call it cheesy, but I thought it was sweet, and a cute nod to the little gag at the beginning of the game where he asks for a handkerchief after sneezing because of his cold, and Shahra covers him in a hill of them. That was cute. So it was a nice way to cheer her up referencing that moment when they met. I really liked Sonic and Shahra's friendship. After Unleashed, this one was probably second up the alley of one of my favorite Sonic games. Something about the friendship stories, man. They get to me.
