I watched this short awhile ago, saw nobody did the doll, so here I am now! Persephone is the goddess of spring from Ancient Greece, and the heroine of the Silly Symphonies short "The Goddess of Spring" (1934). Persephone is beautiful and lively, and often called "the first Disney Princess", having beaten Snow White to the punch by three years.

In the short, Persephone is loved by all the animals, until Hades himself abducts her and takes her to the Underworld to be his wife. In her absence, the land turns to winter. It is quite dramatic stuff!
