HMMMMMM, okay, whenever I show some scrapped stuff, sometimes I cringe at my past decisions. It should be expected why these were scrapped and I am also going to explain what I planned and why I scrapped or rewrote it. Making prototypes definitelly helps in these works.
Second Adventure is definitelly a bigger beast to take than Story of hero. I had to plan out the whole story before actually starting. I had to decide the main points first before going on large adventure. Story of hero had the advantage of having episodic format instead of this chapter format. This is why the first chapters are slow and it gets more interesting in the further chapters. We are all swallowing the idea of a large story instead of so called "episodes" in the first series. So naturally we have to start easy and then slowly go for larger steps.

With that said, chapter 5 is the breaking point of the whole story where our heroes found 2 out of 4 masks and the second plot (a.k.a. Darkman's story in my mind) is also starting going somewhere. It is definitelly going to get only harder for both sides.

To start things of, Luna was still kept outside of Sanctuary of rock with the reason that she can't get inside because of small opening and her being a wooden boat. Globox was still allowed to go there even if it required some effort.
Now onto some awkward stuff. Apparently I either forgot or didn't know that Umber was a thing in Rayman 2. I did plan out a small battle against a large statue resembling a Stone man (either Rayman 1 or Origins, you'll be the judge). Later when I explored Raywiki I eventually found out about Umber and decided to include him after all, with the intention of bringing out one of my favourite moments in this story - disobeying the warning about not touching the mask. The moment was planned in the original prototype as well, but the inclusion of Umber definitely helped supporting the fear of what could possibly go wrong when one decides to disobey the warning from mystical powers created by Polokus himself. The reason why this rule wasn't broken back in chapter 3 is simply because I'm following the similar structure of a fairytale. There first time everything went alright, but the second and third time something went wrong after disobeying a given warning. (Smolíček is that fairytale btw, I am definitely getting inspired from that and not just for this part alone)

When it comes to Mr. Dark and Darkman's part, in this chapter they got to follow the prototype just fine with some minor dialogue and pose changes. It is, however, Voodoo Mama's part that saw some changes from original prototype. Originally her first reaction to terrible news was angry actually. Then it went to some strange feeling when she didn't know what was wrong with her, showing only a little sadness. That I changed after realizing more why she kept Darkman to begin with. If we look back at chapter 2, she pretty much welcomed his company, always making sure he was feeling comfortable in her presence. Not to mention, there is their everyday ritual of Voodoo Mama singing a lullaby to Darkman. She was pretty much attached to him at this point. So now suddenly losing all this would mean some kind of major change within her, with the only logical solution of making her experience that much more tragic. You could say she lost her mind. To add even more pain into this she starts blaming others instead of herself for what happened. Also Diego was supposed to stay in Land of Livid Dead, making him useless, so later I decided to have him follow Voodoo Mama. YAY for my little goofy skeleton!

I can already tell that the further chapters are going to have some scrapped stuff as well. Until then we have chapter 6 ahead of us. What could be the story of that one?
Btw, just a small note, I love holding these papers that were written like 4 or 5 years ago. They feel ancient!
