Well, I had to do this someday...

I never explained it clearly, but the fandom which Aiden is connected to is called Perfect Strangers. It's an rp-story created by , and I. I don't know if it's ever gonna be something more, like a book, but I hope that one day it does.

So far the story is split into 5 sections. Two od themtake place in 1820, while other two take place 2 years earlier. The 5th one, which Aiden is a part of, takes place 100 years earlier. Each section has its own portion of the story, all of them leading to a big finale. The 5th section is mostly the story of Grim Reapers and how they have to face sudden changes in their own race. And Aiden is the cause of most of these...

    · Regeneration power - allows him to recover a lot faster than humans. In case of losing a limb it allows it to connect to the body in a matter of seconds, though it still needs some time to heal.
    · Fire magic - Aiden’s main elemental power. He mostly uses it in form of fireballs or setting the surroundings on fire as a distraction. Eventually parts of it evolved into light magic.
    · Light magic - the extension of his fire power. The most effective power against demons. He uses it in his Light Form, that causes his whole body to glow.
    · Plant magic - his secondary elemental power. Since it’s weaker than his fire magic, he uses it only to some extent. Most often he creates thorn vines to attack the enemy (sometimes he sets them on fire before the attack).
    · Ice magic - an additional power he gained at one point. The 3rd elemental power is a very rare case among Reapers. Due to his main power being fire, this one is hard for him to master. It is often used defensively.

Weapon(s): Reaper Scythe - created by members of theReaper Council. Its blade is made of *orichalcum and the shaft is made of an unknown type of wood. It has the ability to become invisible and untouchable at will.
Acessories: Chains, a skull ring and piercings - Aiden got them after becoming the official Grim Reaper. They're also made of orichalcum.

*in this particular fandom (Perfect Strangers) orichalcum is a legendary metal that only Metal Reapers and very few creatures can create. It can come in many color variations and is very effective against magical and supernatural beings. It may act like silver for werewolves, is strong against demons and is the best weapon against shadow beasts.

Personality: Due to his experiences, on the first glance Aiden seems to be very cold and hard to get to. He used to be very eager to learn and to become the best Reaper ever, although his enthusiasm started fading away as he realized how big of a failure he was seen as, since he couldn’t properly use the basic power. The fact that he lacked it made him hide behind the mask of show-off, constantly blabbering on how great of the Reaper he is. Even after he started gaining more power, the remnants of his mask turned into a mild cockiness.

At first very trustful, he eventually started perceiving almost everyone as potential traitors. After his close friend Ariana became full of pride, since her powers were very impressive, she started looking down at Aiden, treating him like garbage and trying to ruin every single minute of his “life” when she had a chance, both physically and mentally. Her taunts made Aiden believe that he was hated by everyone among Reapers, not noticing that there were many that either ignored him, felt sorry or just tried to be friendly towards him.

Too focused on his training to finally develop lacking powers, Aiden started isolating himself not only from everyone, but also everything around him. He had to spend some time trying to appreciate the beauty of the world, something that was completely insignificant for him.

He was unable to understand the concept of love, till one day he bumped into an elf girl, Iliyae. What started off with lots of arguments changed over time, making the two fall in love with each other. Knowing well that falling in love with a mortal would make him suffer, Aiden tried lying to himself and avoided showing any signs of attraction. After many things they both had to go through, they had to accept their feelings and that nothing could change that. But it was after they discovered that their souls (and thus, their “lives”) were connected, when they could finally come in terms with their own happiness.

Even though the Reapers are supposed to be neutral, Aiden ended up developed a strong sense of justice. What started from random acts of help, eventually led to him being well-known in British Isles as the Scarlet Devil, forming a duo with Iliyae, the Elven Harpist, and helping everyone in need.

During his teenage years he fell in love with the girl named Maria, who became a central point of Lance's rivarly with his childhood friend, Elis. What started with casual to a bit fierce duels, ended up with Lance being stabbed in the back by his own friend, with the spear going right through his heart.

The next time he opened his eyes, he wouldn’t remember his life as a human. He was revived by Saul, the Void Reaper, who by doing so turned him into a Reaper and named him Aiden Rout. After that Saul began training him to become the official Grim Reaper in the next 100 years. Soon after Aiden began experiencing more and less intriguing things, from learning about his elementary powers to meeting various supernatural beings like angels and shadow beasts.

With Aiden showing a serious lack in use of his Spirit power, there was almost no chance for him to successfully pass the official reaper exam. The whole situation confused Saul, who revived Aiden because he sensed a huge power potential within him. He made sure to remind Aiden of that on every occasion to consequently motivate him to work harder. But even pushed to his limits and succeeding in fire magic, Aiden still couldn’t achieve a power needed to send average spirits to the other side without problems.

During his early days, Aiden became friends with another inexperienced Reaper, Ariana. They hit it off very easily, with Aiden even developing a crush on her, only to throw that idea away as falling in love was forbidden by the Reaper law. As for Ariana, at first very supportive, she soon started realizing how big of a Reaper prodigy she is compared to him. This led to the relationship between the two being broken, with Ariana showing her dominance over Aiden in every battle in order to mock him in front of everyone. The conclusion of it came during the final exam, when she manipulated her master, the member of the Reaper Council, for her to be the one battling Aiden.

The exam ended up being Aiden’s biggest humiliation. Now not only lacking a necessary power, but also brutally defeated by the Reaper with the same amount of training, he brought a dishonor on both him and his master, who was rumored to be one of the most skilled Reapers ever. Even with Saul not showing any signs of being mad at him for that, Aiden couldn’t stand such fact and ran away on the very first occasion. He made himself a promise - he wouldn’t return till he became strong enough to return honor to Saul, even if that meant training for the whole eternity.

Many things happened ever since, but that’s the story for another time.

    · His last name comes from a word rout meaning a defeat or to defeat an opponent completely.
· Aiden’s color scheme was based on Vanitas from Kingdom Hearts series. His hair was based loosely on Ezarel from Eldarya, while his cape was based on one of prototype designs of Ciel’s Royal Guard class in Elsword.
    · His short-temper personality was based on Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. Both go crazy when their one particular trait is being mentioned (Edward being short and Aiden being grim).
    · His VA would also be one of Edward Elric, Vic Mignogna - www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKaeys… , while his Japanese VA would be Noriaki Sugiyama.
    · He has a habit of humming Ave Maria. The only other song he's willing to sing is Greensleeves .
    · He’s bearing Christian symbols just like his master, Saul.
    · Even though as a Reaper he doesn’t have to eat, he does that just to enjoy the taste of the food.
    · He loves honey to the extent of climbing trees to get it straight from bees’ nests. It often ends with him being stung.

    · He has quite a talent to making unwanted friends, especially the ones of an origin he's not fond of.
