I had an opportunity to play my Arcana Domain Cleric of Yog Sothoth in a new campaign -- he's younger here than his previous iteration, but has a lot of the same story beats.

He's made a deal with an Eldritch entity after almost dying to a shadow monster, but isn't a Warlock. He carries a ritual dagger stolen from his family, an artifact tome stolen from his school's library (it chose him, but that's a long story).

The only other person in the party who looked human turned out to be an Aasimar, so now Danforth's got a chip on his shoulder because compared to the others, he's been assumed to be less powerful due to his appearance. He desperately wants to prove he's not "just another human."
