I somewhat doubt it. For me, it seems that Nintendo is trying to step away from all of the important stuff that made Star fox Adventures different from the other Star Fox games, mainly the magic elements and Krystal's back story

At first, Starfox saga was a shoot them up, not a Zelda like adventure, and Dinosaur Planet was a game without any link to Starfox, so SFA made some peoples happy to have this, some aren't, but in the end, Starfox is a property of Nintendo, so they have the right to do whatever they want with it.
But I agree with you, Krystal's back story could be an amazind reason to explore mystical planets and have spaceships battles, like in Starfox Event Horizon
