Sakura boldly led her cell through the mess in the Suna desert, Sai, Yamato, and Hinata following her lead. Most of the buildings had been of sand, so the only thing that happened to them was collapsing. The nicer buildings of the more powerful males were nothing but charred pieces of wood. The rice paper had burned through. Sakura felt chills up her spine. The last time any one really had been here, the Ookamika Clan were burning each other alive, and the Suna investigation squadron had come too late. Last time, Saori had been here, and she had watched her home fall to the ground. "It's slightly disturbing," Sakura said quietly. It felt like the whole area was still in mourning after some ten years.

"I do not agree," Sai replied, not at all affected by the bleached bones of bodies nobody had bothered to properly bury ten years ago.

"Look," Hinata softly whispered, as if to respect the dead atmosphere. Her eyes were upon a tattered red flag, a relatively undamaged stuffed bunny acting as a paperweight of sorts. Sakura quietly walked over. Hinata picked up the sad looking bunny and Sakura held the flag, so worn and so broken, so alike to the clan whose insignia the flag bore, no longer proudly. Oh, how they had fallen.
