You have a unique way on coloring stuff! And you draw the mouth when you put on base colors? Interesting xD

I getz too excited!
hehe oh my secret is out xD I haven't gotten a tablet yet. I plan to on the upcoming years after college.

So since we are going to be doing a collab soon, are you able to work with a photoshop file? I actually make a ton of layers just so you know xD

Tbh, I am not sure xD
I should be able to though. I have done it before. I have recently downloaded photoshop as well, and have a friend who knows how to use it. I shall have him teach me xD

We shall see! I'm just a bit worried if the file will be way too big and lag your computer. Well I think it shouldn't be too bad since I will be doing a rough sketch right? I think we will be okay! OOOO goodluck with photoshop! I used to use Gimp in the past only using a mouse to do my art but as soon as I got a tablet I switched over to Photoshop, was truly a glorious time. The first artwork I've posted on my Deviantart was the first drawing on my tablet... You can tell because my proportions are all wrong. If you need help just come ask me! I'd be more than happy to help/guide you!

OOO I have to go look more into your gallery
Is drawing in a tablet more difficult? I don't think I could ever have such a steady hand lol
I admire those who can draw through tablets/ Takes alot of dedication man xD
Nah don't worry about it
I am sure we can solve it along the line lol

If you like, I could show you my even older works on my facebook. Let me tell you now... It's quite embarrassing.
Uhh yeah I think it's quite difficult as it's not like using paper and pencil where you can move the paper at will. I also find it quite hard to do realism with a tablet. But it's worth it in the end once you get used to it! I thought all this time you had a tablet! What are you using then? I'm sure you'll catch on quick if you use a tablet!

Hey now!
We all start that way don't we
It takes us all alot to get where we are now.
i think it gives us a huge sense of pride to see how far we have progressed.Β
Lol no xD I wish I did have a tablet. I usually do a sketch by pencil. Then I have it side by side to me as I draw it in the computer.Β
I use a mouse xD (Take note I have used paint since I was a little tyke, so I learned how to stabilize my movements and make it smooth)

I'll send you a note of my facebook pictures then. xD
Wow that is very impressive! I used to be the same. I would draw on paper, scan it into my computer, then trace that with mouse, and finally color from there. But dang!! Side by side?! That is a feat I cannot reach. So are you still using the Paint program or are you using something else? I could help you get other programs if you wish.

Aww your too kind! I will check them out right now
Nah it's just practice really. My sister is also an artist and since I am the youngest... well I was very competitive.
So I had her teach me how to draw properly. I first started on chibis, then animals. I can officially say I beat her now haha.
Nah, I am using Autodesk Sketchbook. I am starting to tire of it since it does have it's limits on brushes. It's backgrounds I really want to learn about Β

Haha wow we are pretty alike! I was the same way growing up! My older brother and sister were artists who taught me how to draw properly and I always looked up to them. I can also say that I've beaten them too, maybe not my sister for pencil sketches though.
I guess for backgrounds. You have to start off with working in the one point perspective. Honestly doing backgrounds is just a bunch of blotches on the screen, it's pretty messy if you really look at it haha.

Too bad I can't use many layers since I only got the free version of Sketchbook. ;v; But it still does me some good.

I know what you mean. It is a struggle lol. I believe you can use up to 3 correct?
I would use them sorta like this
1.sketch
2.shadings
3.background (if you don't do backgrounds use this one as another shading area)

So this is how you shade. It's an interesting process for sure. Thank you for sharing.
Β
Now for questionsΒ Β
1) What program do you use?
2) How many layers do you typically use?
π: 0 β©: 1
SaiyanGoddess In reply to babybluez1996 [2015-11-16 18:29:07 +0000 UTC]
Thank you I hope it helps you sis xD
Well I use Autodesk Sketchbook pro. The program also has a free version and I used that for many months. I always encourage to purchase the pro version as you have more tools and layers. Β I don't think i would have reached this good if I didn't have those new tools or layers. Besides it is not that expensive at all. It's only 15-20 bucks a year.
Typically for layers I use about 20? Mostly due to my laziness since I hate erasing.
