the lighting, which im guessing is what your test effected, its great, i like the shadowing compared to the other one.... i do like it
but it kinda jacked with the white background a little bit and when my laptop is anything more then 90 degees open, Absol gets a lil jacked up too

the 'pixely' effect with the outline, as tacimur put it, blends into the semi blurry or not colouring of it. i like this. its interesting. it gives more to look at than the regular cell shaded stuffs.
.. and i forgot what i was going to say.
i like the softer blue seeping into it.

Whoosh, the coloring job reminds me of how they shaded Absol on the 6th movie cover... @__@ It's so smooth 'n' shiny and the lineart looks official... ;___;

Mh, the outlines look a bit pixelated but the overall effect is very nice. Looks like one of those moments at the end of an especially dramatic episode when the screen freezes and turns into a crayon/ink drawing.
