No, seriously. Look at the pics. Legs close together, knees close together, one leg slightly lifted, kinda has that 'I need to pee kinda badly' look to them.
I have never been able to figure that one out.

Keeping the legs close like that creates a visual effect of being thiner and taller, because creates a small opening between the thights.
The position of the one leg slight lifted makes the waist thiner.
It's all visual illusion.
I learned that when I was backstaging a runaway show, and one of the coaches told the model (that was curvy), to pose exactly like that and explained why.
