Lol Saki, I know that Monty was awesome. But if you actually pay attention to what is happening to RT, before and after a volume is released, it always feels like a giant circle jerking session. Not to mention #lettergate . Personally, I watch the series like Digibro watched Ass War; overanalyze and knit pick the series to death, cause the writing is terrible, and the animation quality and fight choreography is dropping terribly at a alarming rate.

Would you like to go in-depth as to why you think the writing is terrible? There's a lot of symbolism and psychology, as well as a myriad of other utilities seasoned writers use. Not to mention foreshadowing. Ozpin in 1:1, Ruby in 3:12. Cinder vs Ozpin, Ozpin disappearing, Salem... The characters and world are dynamic, and despite what you claim, I have noticed improvements in the voice acting, animation, and writing over the past 3 Volumes, and eagerly await Volume 4. The plot isn't just thick, it's also getting quite deep, with 3 beloved characters dying horribly, and 2 background characters biting the dust. With RNJR out in the world on their own, we can only guess where the series is going, next.

1. Lol, any person and their grandma could use symbolism.
2. psychology is only useful if it stems from the characters themselves. ultimately, psychology should help define character's interaction, reactions/responses to things that happen to them. Yang should only project a confident persona to cover up her deep seated abandonment issues. From that, show us how shallow she feels when she is away from public eye, and also show us how overcomes said abandonment issues to truly become confident. Ruby is unfortunately 1 note: i child desperately trying to be a hero, and naively believing everything will go well, nothing will go wrong....right? So she has a conflict with Roman, and ultimately his jaded and more worldly view should have clashed with her ideals, and should ultimately make her rethink her thoughts on becoming a huntress. the only redeeming/saving grace for this is that it was near the end of the volume, and there was no time for her to reflect on this; hopefully we get to see this in volume 4, but given how incompetent Miles and Kerry are.
3. Ozpin's Silver eyes remark? really? same thing with symbolism, any person can use it, if they actually think about it. the sad part is that it comes straight out of left field, and they ultimately use it as deus ex machina to wrap up volume 3. which is many times by professional writers, has been called emotionally unsatisfying, forced, and ultimately lazy writing.
4. Really...... the only improvement to voice acting is the addition of Vic and Elizabeth, and the flexibility, range and depth they have in their performance.
5. Improvements to the animation? The first fight of volume 3 was shit. granted its because its a 4v4, but hell, volume 2 opened on that but it was staged so much better (because the played to their strengths and showed us 1v1 and 2v2s in turn rather than have a full fight where everyone is involved). not mention, the GODDDDD awful amount of reaction shots....... they managed to make Gravity stop for the reaction shot (icefist). not to mention floating-foot, default pose guy, and the horrid flow of action/time during the entire fight.
6. Its writing is ultimately shit, thanks to there being no plot. plot being where character actions follow a progression of action-reaction. The story has a direction, but no plot. there is nothing in the script for us to get invested in. not to mention how poorly executed the world of remnant is shown to us. If grimm are attracted to negative emotion, why doesn't everyone have an equivalent of a psychopass, and constantly have positive messaging around to keep everyone in a positive mood? Why do they allow a Tournament, where there is one victor, out of 4 kingdoms, and allow commentators to say things like "Vacuo fans sure to be hurting after that one". Really the lack of attention to detail is God forsakenly awful.
7. Sure it's thick; like molasses. and its not deep. There is nothing of value in trying to dig into the script. Because the characters know more than the audience, and having the stupid air of "oh we are keeping secrets from the audience" and having a carrot on a stick of "the show will get interesting" is still shit writing. The infamous "a fight with actual guide lines; instead of .....well...... murderers" ultimately reconned all of volume 2. because A. they implied that there was another breach, with another sociopath, with another set of violent extremist that the Beacon kids couldn't contain. need i go on? In summary, the plot is thick.......skulled in how incompetent it is in conveying any sort of plot.

the rational people will look at this show, and ask why is this popular again. rational writers will use this as an example of how not write, along side the Asterisk war, and sword art online.
