Character design for Setsuna Migi.Please ignore my notes to self. And the fingerprints are because my ink pen started leaking.
I'll update you all on who the hell she is, if you want to know, when I've redone her design a little and done all of the Fireflies.
The bow-choker thing was a bad idea. It makes her look like a Mew Mew, not a criminal. Which she is, by the way, along with several others. Firefly is a criminal/terrorist organisation... or so it seems.
[EDIT] As I was taking my sketchpad off the scanner, the page caught and ripped. So now I cannot change this anymore.
I'll draw a new one to take my mind off what happened in episode 3 of MSMM.

Hmm yeah, maybe the bow is too cute for a killer... then again, depends on the colours, I guess. It can look badass. Maybe she carries poison inside the gem? That would suit a killer. Or it could just be a plain choker without the bow, just the gem.
I'm not really good at giving critique, so I'll just leave this plain comment with some critique-ish stuff and say that her shoulders are a bit too wide for a woman. You can make her more feminine by making them less so. And perhaps rounding her hips/thinning her waist just a bit more, just to give her that feminine curve. Since she's a manga character, perhaps a slightly thinner waist would do the trick.

Thanks! I stole the design for the dress and jacket from a shop window in Warwick. I forgot the name of the shop, though. >< *shot* And yeah, I wrote that on right after I inked it, because I thought I'd curved it too much, but the next day it looked better, hence the note below.
Ah, that's an old note. It's cause I was drawing it and Claire was giving me feedback and then at one point I was like 'well she IS a girl' and Claire went 'wha? I thought it was a guy' and so I wrote a big note saying 'FEMALE' on it. And then I made her look more female.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I was gunna just have a duplicate of the one on the back of her jacket, but then... yeah.
Mm, I was following the two-heads rule, but then I rechecked it and was all 'whaa? that's a different measurement to last time.' But then I couldn't be bothered to change it. And shall do.
Uh, yeah, I was gunna make her colour scheme yellow, but then I realised that I'd already used yellow for Karo, so... I don't know. What colour do you think would look good?

Yellow? Honestly? Oh my goodness, you know the first impression I got about the colour when I looked at the drawing? I totally thought it was gonna be yellow. There was a yellow vibe to it.

^^ I actually drew her thinking 'hmm, the dress is gonna be light yellow, and everything else is agonna be darkish yelowwy coloured' but then I remembered that I'd already completely designed (not drawn yet) Karo's outfit to be yellow, and I didn't want two people the same, so I was like 'to hell with this, she's being red.'
I'm posting another character up now (only sketched this time though, her hands are still construction lines) but could you possibly give me some feedback on that one too?
