Did I mention how much I love long exposure? Because I really love long exposure. Looks just like a waterfall with all the smoke from previous fireworks! <3More stuff from Congress Park.

It's not THAT long exposure, "just" 2,5 seconds.
But still enough to create a stunning photograph, congrats of course to the DD.

At first glance I thought it was shopped because the fireworks look similar to some brushes I own. 'N I was leik 'Bitch plz, what's so great about that painting? I can paint better than than without a computer.' But then I saw photo, and I was all 'Orly nao!? d('o' )b ' Cause that changes everything, if it's a photo.
That's just awesome if you took that with a frikken camera. I mean the camera lag had to have been countered in and everything. Deeeeewd. It's like, really cool looking. I like it.

Anyway..... This is one of the most beautiful fireworks shot I've ever seen. You nailed it. You need to send this to Dick (I'm sure he shared his fireworks shot over NYC), and to everyone else at HIP. You should be amazingly proud of this one. Very seriously, if I had the money, I would buy this from you.

Only give it as I see it..... and I see a great shot here. And Dick didn't show that to your class???? Wow, he dragged that thing out every chance he got with us, he was very proud of it, as he should be, it is fantastic, with the NYC skyline and all these fireworks going off. I wonder if it is on his website.
I know about guess work, all of my Moving Lights are educated guesses because there really isn't time to use a light meter is there? But the more you do it, the better you will get at knowing what setting to use, and if all else fails, use aperture priority and just shoot away!

Oh, I think I know the image you're talking about now! Sadly I have a really bad stomach (IBS) so I ended up absent more and more as we got closer to the end because stress screws me over, so I probably didn't see it as much as you did. >.<;;;
Haha, yeah I hear ya. I wish there was! I think when I go to the fireworks at Day I'm going to try setting it to f/16 and then use a long shutter speed and a wider lens to see what happens. Go back to Tony's lessons about not making everything a nuclear explosion!!! lmao

I definitely will be using a tripod. That's how I got these last three, though I really regret using a telephoto lens. xD I thought they were going to be shooting up higher then they did. Oh well, that's what this next try is for!!! Hehe
