Description
Did I mention how much I love long exposure? Because I really love long exposure. Looks just like a waterfall with all the smoke from previous fireworks! <3More stuff from Congress Park.

Many thanks. :3
The text is something I allow Lightroom to add as a watermark to help prevent art theft. It's not a part of the printed version.

It reminds me of thinning grandpa hair, tipped with icicles from walking in the winter right after a shower.
Only much more extravagant and gallant. Like taking something small, putting it in an abstract perspective, and finding that small thing to be ridiculously awesome.
I guess, in short, I really, really enjoy this.

The big thing to remember is that fireworks are literally fire, just like the sun. The proper exposure for the sun is f/16 at 1/125sec. For fireworks I just modified off of that. Since it's dark, I dropped the aperture a bit, and since I wanted the streaks I dragged the shutter. The best thing you can do is experiment. I've been trying for a few years before I got that shot.
I'm glad that you really enjoy it. Best of luck to you.

This is so beautiful!!! I completely fell in love with it. I have always bin trying to find one picture of this kind of firework. I havent been lucky finding any picture that captures the magnificents of this certain firework and i thank you for posting this one picture.
I'd love this firework so much, even as a child. It had always reminded me of a golden curtain or a beautiful chanderlier looking apon others and giving them a source of light and graceful presence. You made it into something so remarkable and i praise you for you wonderful talent! Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this picture up for the world to see and love. =3 You truely are an amazing person and i wish you luck for your future art (in whatever form it may come in).
