This is actually a paying commision I've been working on. Ok so it's not as detailed at my last submitted Deviation but still >_>; If anything needs fixing tell me before I print it ^_^; It's based off of a religion I have never heard of before called Bahai ^_^- sounds like my kind of religion preaching the unification of people and that we should all be one.

EDIT: (insert string of explicits here) OMG I made a typo.. -__- I knew I was gunna do that. I read it over like 7 times..

a beautiful piece of artwork, whoever u are. i typed in baha'i under the category of anime/manga thinking I would get no images at all but got this pleasant surprise instead. I'm glad that you were inspired by the teachings of the Baha'i faith as a Baha'i myself such a beautiful rendition of the unity of the faiths touches my heart <3
It truly is sad when religion becomes the cause of dissension and apathy instead of love and concord- what it was originally intended for.
I noticed the comments mentioned reference to a proper website might of helped. Here's the most commonly used one: [link]

Lovely. =] I'm a Baha'i and I think your artwork is wonderful. I love seeing things like this.
The order is Baha'i, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Buddhist, right?

very good. many people say be atea, anti religioous, fredom thinker,
and see in the religions many bad things...
they are fredomm to be so, but might respect the freedom to the rest of people to believe something..
the " vera religione", truht religions, born into the heart, the human heart, for the vital experiences, and made grow to human being...
Congratulation it like it...

Can you tell me a bit about their beliefs? I am afraid i have never heard of them.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Pheasanttail In reply to iAmLovely [2010-03-11 21:12:48 +0000 UTC]

It was started in Persia in the 1800's by a guy named Bahรก'u'llรกh. They mainly stress the spiritual unity of all humankind. They believe in the ones of God, humanity, and religion. religious truth is revealed by God progressively and cyclically over time through a series of divine Messengers, and that the teachings are tailored to suit the needs of the time and place of their appearance and therefore recognize the divine origin of several world religions as different stages in the history of one religion.

They strive for:
# Equality between men and women
# Elimination of all forms of prejudice
# World peace
# Harmony of religion and science
# Independent investigation of truth
# Universal compulsory education
# Universal auxiliary language
# Obedience to government and non-involvement in partisan politics
# Elimination of extremes of wealth and poverty.

Gambling, gossip, alcohol, and monasticism(detaching yourself from the world to focus on religion) are forbidden.

I'm not a follower, but I think they're pretty cool group. Kind of remind me of John Lennon's "Imagine." Hope this helps

Pheasanttail has this pretty correct. Whether that's because she's a Baha'i or not, I dunno. But she summed it up pretty well. =]

This is a beautiful peace in both the physical aspect and in the deep, meaningful aspect. ^^ I wish everyone were tolerant of others, whether they agree with one another's religion (or lack of religion) or not.
I love how pretty and glow-y you made everything too. ^^

I panicked for a moment. I couldn't find Yusra. Then I realized you had a boy to represent Islam. I think they should've all been either hooked by their arms or doing a little pinky promise thing with their neighbors.

Might I suggest adding a L-R list in your comments for those who may not know all the faiths depicted?
