I thought about "the ghost in the shell" and the french comic strip "sky doll" when I did this.I wanted to add something glamour and sexy to my inspirations .

I'm re-reading Richard Calder's novel 'Dead Girls' at the moment - set in a future where the great fashion houses of Europe have experience a renaissance after developing designer automata: essentially sex-toys, but sophisticated and intelligent creatures in their own right. Asian bootlegs cause a massive and bitter trade war, and espionage employing designer virus technology becomes common. This lead to a crisis known as the doll plague: men that have had sex with the automata infected with this virus show no symptoms, but if they father children they are invariably girls, and at puberty begin to change into chimeric semi-plastic doll creatures with a matrix of quantum instability in their wombs - dangerous partly vampiric creatures, often driven insane by their inhuman programming.
One such doll, primavera and her teenage boyfriend Iggy have managed to escape the tight quarantine of a London over-run by dolls, and evaded the death camps run by the 'Human Front' run government in Madchester.
The book covers the last days of their time together in Bangcock, where Primavera's success as an assassin has led to the wrong sort of attention - and no place left for them to run. It's quite the most lyrical piece of cyberpunk I've ever read, and just dazzlingly original.
This image makes me think of the Cartier dolls described in the book - the acme of the industry, regarded with bitchy jealousy by the dolls of lesser houses and copies alike.

this is also a bit reminescent of Hajime Sorayama's work.
although his is airbrushed.

celle ci est largement meilleur que la troisieme ( dommage a pas de 2eme )
on ressens encore plus le coté plastic industriel dans l'atmosphere, le découpage est mieux fait bref vraiment genial

Je suis en train de faire une série de "poupées virtuelles" de ce type, ca faisait super longtemps que je n'avais rien fait, ca fait du bien de s'y remettre .je profite des siestes de mon petit loup pour affuter mon stylet
