Description
This is Axalit (Axe-lit).

He is one of many creatures called Bacierk (Bah-sear-k). He is an odd creature, seeming to be a combination of a rabbit's back paws, a rats front paws and a lizards head. This all combined with a unique and flowing tail as well as the crest of a cockatoo.

Axalit normally has his crest lowered, only raising it when he feels threatened or if he wants to show off. When he is on the move, his tail curls up over his back to prevent any tears to his fragile, sensitive tail. It is rare for an adult Bacierk to have a completely uninjured tail, so Axalit is extremely protective of his own tail.

Axalit's skin is similar to that of a lizards. He is covered in small scales (think Leather/Silk back bearded dragon, depending on the Bacierk), including the crest. However, unlike a lizard, Bacierk's are warm-blooded, though they still enjoy basking anyways.

Most Bacierk have very lightly colored eyes that can range the whole color spectrum. On extremely rare cases, a Bacierk can be born with completely black eyes. This is often considered a blessing by the Order. (A group of four or more Bacierk's is called an Order, normally started by two breeding pairs.)

Bacierk's give live birth with a gestation period of approximately 1 month. When the young are born, as with most creatures, they are blind and deaf. They gain their eyesight and hearing within 3 days or so.

Bacierk are insectivores. Favoring cricket-like creatures as well as some species of roach-like creatures. They also enjoy the occasional berry if the season allows it.
