Update: Prints of Bloom are now available on my new society6 shop! society6.com/emmapuckettillustratesI'm turning 25 in 2 and a half weeks, the spring of my life is nearly over, so I made this painting to celebrate being at a place in my life where I finally feel like I know who I am and I am satisfied with who that person is.
I have a hard time ever calling a piece finished but I'm calling this one for now, there may be a color version later.

Wow, the details in all of those flowers is astounding! I absolutely love the way you draw and paint facial features. I love the meaning behind this painting and can tell a lot of thought went into its composition. I really like this. Her expression is interesting and a bit nostalgic. It goes together with the color scheme. The amount of detail on this is great. The touch of the two birds really compounds the effect of showing "spring", and the flowers you chose are all very pretty with nice, large petals that really give you a chance to showcase you artistry. I also really like her face. It captures attention with such subtlety. Great job!

yes the spring of you life is over... but the magical thing is now you are mature enough to know who you are. Β That is a triumph. Β I am turning 55 this year and i am heading into the winter. Β I look back now and see how my life has changed.. it seems i have lived 5 life times.. the great thing is surviving your own life means adapting to what life brings along the pathway you are walking. and you are just starting that walk. Happy Birthday... hope you have many wonderful pathways to explore.
