Azathoth isn't only a Demon God. There was a point when Lovecraft's monsters became a bit more science fictionish, and Azathoth became a seething, writhing mass of Chaotic energy, but it was still counted as a god

thats the great thing about h.p lovecrafts work, you can make the Things look like what ever you want, to me azathoth is a galaxy sized blob of teeth and eyes
