This competition will cover the first 50 million years of this habitat's evolution after being abandoned by humans. 50 million years because this is the time it takes for the habitat to become tidally locked to its star. Since this habitat relies on rotation for gravity, it experiences Mars-level gravity after twenty million years, Moon-level gravity after thirty million years, and zero gravity after fifty million years. Like a planet, this capsule of life experiences extinctions, weather and diverse ecosystems.

All animals and plants are to be descended from modern-day lifeforms from Earth. The deadline is January 15, 2022. Please submit entries to the "competitions" folder in this group: www.deviantart.com/conceptuale… .

Entries can cover any point over the first fifty million years of this world's natural history. If successful, I'll launch a second phase to this competition and keep adding new themes each month.
