Description
This picture is a classic example of the snowball effect.It started out with just chibi!Sheik (original sketch ). Then I was like, "Damn, he looks all sad and lonely. I'll give him a chibi!Link and make him happy. <3"
So then I color them. All simple colors, very plain. And I start in on the background. I have a vague idea that I want it to be nighttime out.
The background however, spirals into a completely different coloring style. So I go back and change their colors, add things, soften some things.
I realize there needs to be a heart in there somewhere. And sparkles. Definitely sparkles. But how-oh-how can I justify that?
...And Navi happens.
Etc. XD
There are probably a few more things I could touch up in this, but drawing all those damn sparkles by hand took a lot out of me. (I don't use custom brushes; not because they aren't awesome and wouldn't make my life a shitton easier, but more because I like to see how much I can manage on my own. Which is not much. XD)

The background and the detail on the grass is lovely. As is Navi! Her wings are well done--nice and luminescent!
