yeah, you are right, at that point, Harley was beyond rehabilitation, she was as insane as the Joker, so I think the only way for her to go on was to have a kid, Joker's kid, maybe she went on because she was pregnant.

I always thought that too. Maybe he did it himself, to keep chance of legacy up. Either way, it seems reasonable, and like something she'd do.
But in terms of, lets say, Batman Beyond episode, I think it would be better if she already was pregnant when he died. You know, to have good last memories.

I do have to imagine that Batman would leave her alone if Joker ever died. I mean I can't even see her going on. And even if she did continue the life of crime, she's NEVER as violent or cruel when Mistah Jay ain't around, ya know?

Harley is too far gone by that point to go sane even after her Mr J died.
The only explanation I would have for her to go on living would be if she actually had a kid to raise, HIS kid, thus implying that DeeDee from Batman Beyond are Joker's too. It's just logical.
So she'd devote herself to them.
Because as far as wikipedia goes (and wiki is always wrong), she apparently went sane and married, while it NEVER was actually stated as a fact. She didn't. Can you imagine Harley EVER marrying somebody else even after Joker's death? If I was this devoted, I wouldn't. And her devotion is not normal by any terms.
She probably pretended to be sane and law-abiding while secretly raising kids to continue Joker's deeds.
Least this is what I am hoping for, and it makes sense in terms of Harley's character.
As for his death generally, without context of Batman Beyond... Hm, I think she wouldn't just go on living that easily, and no therapy would heal the wound of this loss. Seriously, some manage to forget how attached she was. She'd probably be in hysterics for weeks and then fall into a major depression, and god knows what could help her recover rather than Mr J's dip into Lazarus Pit or something.
Maybe in a very long time she'd get over it, but it's doubtful. She'd be broken for sure.
