yes, I painted the background when I wasnt able to sleep at the mid of nite, and the red veins I painted when I was very upset, both time I use painting to sooth myself

Your say in your statement that the red is the shivering nervus, however I see it as a floating component that is gentle and swirling. Like when milk is poured into water and starts out as a stream but begins to dissipate. That is my impression. I hope it helps.
