For r/sketchdaily's June 9, 2014 drawing prompt, 1950's robots. All that came up on my image search was Forbidden Planet, but personally I prefer sci-fi's robots of the 1920's. This is the classic poster of Forbidden Planet with Maria from Metropolis in Robbie's arms. I felt a little weird copying the overall look, pose, etc. of a poster, but it was fun practice and it forced me to use colors I never use...which I feel a lot more comfortable with now. It's all a learning experience, in the end!
