In my school, if the steps are wrong and the answer is right, you get 0 anyway.

With the "new" math - having the right answer, or being able to solve the problem has somehow become less important than using "their" methods. One would think it would eventually help in Algebra or Calculus where how you solve the problem IS the test question, but somehow I doubt it.
