Yeah...I actually had a lot more written up to justify Pheo's existence, but then I deleted it cause I'm trying to make my descriptions less wordy...*keyword: Try. XD

Basically, it'd be a good idea overall to have a mascot character because it'll draw in the people who like the cute things. Plus, I need to practice on drawing all kinds of creatures, and a pheonix is a good balance between cute and fierce (depending on how I want to draw him). Plus, it's functional cause Six starts off as a rogue-type character. Much like Drei and Reigen. Because of that she needed a way to escape from tight situations that at first glance make her look like she's OP (thus intimidates other characters like Ace from confronting her), but in actuality she's just paired up with another card. Spoiler: She IS OP. Just to be clear. XD But since she's a low ranking card she doesn't have a lot of mobility in a fight.

On the character development side of things: Having Pheo would be great because he would develop the maternal instinct in Six. Six is one of the three female power-house characters who don't follow the "find a nice guy, and settle down" female stereotype. Rather, she wants nothing to do with men if she can help it. Pheo is a boy, but he's also a child who needs to be looked after and taken care of. Plus, I don't know if you remember, but Six and Shime were originaly the same character during our KH roleplays. It would just be kind of a cool parallel to throw in that Six has to look after Pheo, just like Shime has to look after her brother, Haku.

But...like I said, it's a toss up. It'd be nice to add him in--and convenient for the most part--but is he NECESSARY for the plot? Does Six really need a kid hanging around to stop her from burning out all the time? How much time am I willing to devote to sell their relationship to the audience--who probably could care less? (See...I'd like to have him, but he's a corner I could cut out of the picture and nobody would probably miss him. Except me. I love all my babies. XD)

OMG this was almost TLDR...! Seriously! XD
But I guess I can understand wanting to keep your descriptions a little shorter. Lots or people don't read 'em anyways...
I think it may help round out Six as a character, from what I can remember and from what I know of your planning of WW. (not that I know much of Six's side.) I wonder if you can tie it into similar reasoning of why Tom and Wood were able to have kids in the world. IE: They wanted kids and to keep up the appearance of reality the world built them. Six needed something to keep her 'attached' to the world and the world gave her Pheo. Or something. Again working on the limited knowledge I have. XD Six could be a special case in the system similar to Sev, though not as 'important'. Kinda like in 'Harry Potter' Nevile (i think that's how it's spelt...) was a alternate universe option to be Harry. But because he wasn't the 'chosen one' his skills and uniqueness became overlooked.
Also think about how much you're going to feature Six and Pheo. If they're not going to appear often, it's not much of a mascot is it? THink of pickachu and every gen's starters. They're popular because they get more screen time and we have more time to get attached.
Plus if Six gets to have Pheo I want Tom to have Crow. XD Or Leaf, Leaf can have Crow. Plus it would be more practice for you~! *coughcough* XD

... Maybe you could make birds a thing? Like in the system itself they were originally planned to monitor the people in the system but after Red took over they became obsolete...? IDK.

Hey, you kinda asked for it. XD Kinda...

I'm liking some of your suggestions...but I'll have to think it over and make sure they don't create plot holes. XD

Pheo would act as mascot much like the Tetsu No.2 from Kuroko no Basket does. (Meaning he'd show up WAY late, but would be in for the long haul since I tend to write long stories. XD) Oh! But I did want to clarify again--Six (and Noel...) is kinda like a Neville in the way you described it. But she absolutely CAN'T be the one to end the virtual dream that Miss White has them trapped in because she's not a Queen (Noel aims for King though...shhh). Despite that though--Six is majorly OP. She's got the same ability as Yang from RWBY where if she gets knocked down, she comes back twice as strong. She's the "Breaks-Barriars-Against-All-Odds" character trope (up until she realizes she actually can't beat a Queen on her own, anyway...)

But- Yeah, reading through your reply (and re-reading) I also come to assume you highly suggest the basketball anime. XD jk. Kinda. Anyways I just ment that If you like my ideas and wanna wiggle them in there somehow I know you have the storytelling ability to do so without just tacking it on, same with the sentiment of your mascot charrie. You'll figure something out or tweak it in a way where you'll get everything you want in there. -^^-
