But in short, it's about a man with a blue beard that has every now and then a different and new bride. Problem is, no one ever hears of thes brides after they supposedly divorce.
The story follows his latest wife, who gets many keys from Bluebeard, because Bluebeard says he's going out to travel. The bride can go everywhere except for one room.

Of course, she goes into the one room she can not go in, drops a key in a pool of blood, because in that room are all the corpses of Bluebeard's previous wives.
Bluebeard finds out, because she couldn't wash out the blood of the key properly, and wants to kill her now as well.
She manages to stall some time, untill her brothers come to save her and kill Bluebeard. owo
