Let me tell you a little story about this shot...

It looks high up, sure, that's because it is. Sometimes I do silly and dangerous things to get a good shot. This wouldn't be the first time, but it was the only time my heart skipped a beat. I'm not typically one who is scared of heights, as long as I feel in control.

The thing I am crouching on is a hand rail to a very open staircase. It was about a foot thick, maybe a little thinner. I was sitting on it, but was not satisfied with the outcome of the pose, so I told my photographer what I was going to do and climbed up onto it. I reached down and held the railing for a shot, but it still looked forced. I looked back behind me to see a story and a half drop to an open tile floor. She was able to get 3-4 shots in before I lost my balance and stared falling backwards. Luckily, I was able to reach down just in time and grab that hand rail before I fell to my certain death. But I swear I've never had my heart beat so fast in my life. But that vaulted window in the back thoooo <3 <3 <3

I'm fairly certain I nearly gave my sweet little photographer a heart attack. Anywho, moral of the story is be careful, and don't climb to high places like I tend to do
