"I am so taller than you, Rae!"

"Hu-rray. That is such a joyful occasion."

"Oh, come on, Raven! You sound so gloomy. You should be happy!"

Her expression hardly changed as she replied, "And why should I care?"

"Because I am finally tall enough to date you," he grinned.

Her eyes widened slightly at the realisation of the strangest concept that arose in his head. Whatever gave him the idea that dating was like an amusement park ride that had a minimum height requirement was beyond her. But the greater puzzle was why he was so bent on dating her.

She knew he had a crush on her, but she had no idea he had not outgrown it.

"And what makes you think I would even go out on a date with you?" she raised an eyebrow.

"Come on, Rae. You know you like me."

At that moment, she knew it was going to take a longer time before he also realises that she was far from 'dating material'. Until then, convincing him and herself that she didn’t like him would be the toughest mission she will ever undertake.
