At first I thought this was a reference to the old belief that Eve was created from Adam's rib (hence why Adam looks KO'd here), but the dialogue showed me you reversed their order of appearances. Well, if one sex of humanity really had to come before the other, no reason to think it had to be men before women instead of the other way around.

I didn't reverse the order. Adam is indeed asleep due to God's post-operative holy anesthetic or whatever. I just interpret it that Eve is fully conscious and on a first name basis with God before Adam is revived.
