Description Full Title: The Magic Roundabout (2005) Scrapped USA Blu-ray cover re-creation (almost based from false memory)

Here's another piece of the Mandela effect that I remember seeing on the internet relating to The Magic Roundabout film. It was this supposed American Blu-ray of the original version of the film, planned for release by Shout! Factory sometime between 2010 and 2014 as a response to the massive negative criticism of the heavily edited and re-dub version that the Americans got, but ended up getting cancelled for unknown reasons.

I'm pretty sure some of you might be confused as to why it was mentioned on the trivia section of the 2005 film page on The Magic Roundabout Wiki; that was actually because I LITERALLY remember seeing it on Google Images similar to the promotional score CD before it faded away from the face of the internet to the point I need to let the public know that it exists.

From what I can remember, it was based on an old article from an unknown website that talks about the release, which is why I remember that Shout! Factory was mentioned. I mean, it really does fit since the company was known for releasing definitive editions of obscure content such as Ōban Star-Racers, The Wizard (1989), the first two Power Rangers movies, Thomas and the Magic Railroad, Tank Girl, etc. And unlike this image you're seeing, the "BLU-RAY + DVD COMBO PACK" isn't the same as the one I remember, as it instead features the "BLU-RAY + ULTRAVIOLET" banner seen on Universal releases at the time, so I've decided to re-create an actual Shout! Factory Blu-ray cover to avoid confusion and to see what it would've actually looked like if it did exist.

To my guess, though, I think that there could be possible reasons as to why Shout! Factory never released it after it was announced, either due to licensing issues with Pathé or due to a lawsuit from The Weinstein Company done to make sure that the American version is the only one people there must watch and not the original as this was considered "too British" for Americans (although this was cheating since Pathé still allowed The Weinstein Company and Alliance Atlantis to release the French dub of the original version to Canada).

Then again, I honestly felt like this was one of the most obscure home media hoaxes I've ever seen, judging from the cover I remember looking fake and the fact of how really obscure this film was.
