How sad - this is what your life has been reduced to.A single room apartment containing no more than a mattress.
The strings have been removed from the blinds and all the outlets have been painted over.
The television screen is streaked with blood smeared from your knuckles as you were trying to punch it out but you underestimated its strength, or maybe you just weren't trying hard enough.
Startled by a knock at the door you rise for the first time in two days to answer, but you can only greet the visitor with one short statement;

Feet. You can tell a lot about a person by there feet. Like A, your gripping the floor pretty hard with your toes, maybe you don't have the best of balance, and B, you're cold, because your feet are kinda pale... And that carpeting usually means concrete underneath....

i wasn't sure how to interpret this title.. (i thought maybe you were refering to the distance you fall after you've had too much to drink.)
^but, since i am still a minor, i should have no idea about such things.^
moving right along...honestly, i enjoy the description more than the photo. it means more to me...
maybe i think of words as a better way to display emotion,
but then again, a picture speaks a thousand words.

there said some wouldn't like it... but I like the carpet (?) and the frail-pale feet are expressive. Maybe because of the simple composition, it kinda says (to me) there's nothing around and it's all pretty lonely and naked.

I love the stark nature of this image, its simplicity, its cold, empty, bleak tones.
And I think it works best as an illustration to your writing or maybe as part of a narrative series.
On the subject of your writing, I have been close to that sort of situation myself, withdrawn and almost reclusive and your image reminds me of that feeling of not being able to look up and face "the world".
