I decided to colour it and submit it, using the general permission she has given in FAQ #5 in this journal entry: [link]

Done with markers, except for the ears and muzzle done with coloured pencil and the background done with ArcSoft PhotoImpression.

EDIT - 2008-07-23: I reworked the muzzle and the ears to make them lighter and less grainy. (I also bucket-filled pink into the heart in CJH's signature... ) I think this is an improvement, but I welcome any feedback on the matter.

I sampled the colour from Jade's tongue and used that colour to fill the heart. I wonder if that means that Jade's licked your heart... I hope she doesn't like the taste...

Actually, the graininess of the muzzle struck me as one of my weak points in this. I was hoping I could get it smoother...

I think what I might do is erase it, apply it again, and erase it again. That should get the colour without the grain...

Well, I've done it (with a different pencil from before... ) and I'll scan the result when I get back home. If the result looks better to me, I'll replace the image here.

Ooo, that looks lovely! It's definitely smoother than the first version, and I like the addition of the paint-bucketing the heart in Chibi's signature.

Ooo...that's a really tough choice... I like them both for different reasons. I like the texture of the original one, but the smoothness in the update makes for more crisp colors.
