One of my earliest dA submissions was this one: [link] I like the joke, but the artwork, especially the colouring, was rather horrible.I had been thinking of redrawing it for quite some time now, and I guess I must have got a round tuit...
This is a lot simpler, and the drawing is not much better, but the colouring is a *lot* better!

I did the original version of this when I used to watch both shows. I haven't watched HHPAY in years and I never watched Sailor Moon so I wouldn't know how to set the picture up in terms of background (the above is supposed to be like the grounds of Kadic Junior High despite the relative lack of trees...), relative height (although I'm sure that Sailor Mercury would be taller than the cartoon version of Ami Onuki), or even what Sailor Mercury looks like.

Ami Onuki in real life IS about 5'2. Mizuno should be about 4'7. But you're so right about what you just said.

I guess I've learned three things between the first and the second:
1. how (and why) to ink lineart.
2. how *not* to have bucket filling become pointillism (part of "why to ink lineart"...
3. that ArcSoft PhotoImpression is *much* better at bucket filling than MSPaint is!
FOUR! Four things!
4. that MSPaint's spray tool is not a substitute for real colouring!
