Description Comparison image of a photo resized by both dA and by me. I have cut and enlarged sections from the final images. I can tell a difference but i dont really think it makes much of a difference to the full image.

The very top big image, bottom left and bottom right small images are from the same source.

Do you think better or worse? The three i mentioned are all from Photoshop reduction, the other 3 (middle images) are all done by dA.

I think Photoshop (far left, far right) of the super zoomed bottom images look better but if anything the dA resized image looks better at lesser zoom levels.
Overall on the real images, the Photoshop one retains more sharpness than the dA one, but not to the extent of making much difference.

For the one dA did i uploaded as a full sized 3600x2700 (3.5mb ~10 megapixel) image, resized by dA to 1024x768. ([link] )
For the one i did i used Photoshop Elements to resize the exact same image to the same resolution and output a 'max quality' JPEG image. I then used this as a preview image for a zip file containing the uncompressed original. ([link] )

Obviously this image has had to be saved into JPEG itself, and then uploaded to dA but on 'full view' it is being displayed at its full size.

PS. Yes i know no-one will ever read this, i did it for myself and like writing my thoughts out
