HiI wasn't sure should I upload this or not.
This is my very first matte painting since 2008 ;]
I'm not quite satisfied with this, it's messy and sloppy in so many places and it was made in one day of rush for competitions on some polish graphic forum.
Suddenly I've said 'll make tutorial for something like this
now I'm not sure , any suggestions ? Plate: [link]

Do not feel guilty about yourself is a perfect illustration about the end of our beloved planet, if not corrected the dial permanent scarring of the Earth would end up our humanity.
Despite being different races, we are all one specie. I feel much pain as we have all made ββmassive damage and well...(sniff) sorry.

Incredible. Even seeing the plate and noticing a little copy paste of some buildings, the skies and the pit and the cliff where the human is standing, it's amazing. You reproduced the city really well.

This picture is great! You say 'it's messy and sloppy in so many places', yet it is far beyond I and so many other people could ever hope to achieve. I am a perfectionist myself, I agonise over pictures and upload only a tiny fraction of the photos I take and the pieces of art that are derived from them. This is a fantastic picture - not quite sure what's going on it, but that adds to the whole atmosphere. Love the Italianate town and Etna-like volcano combined with the very-obvious sci-fi appareil and vehicle in the foreground. The planet or moon (or something more sinister as it is reminiscent of the Death-Star from 'Star Wars') is wonderful behind those clouds, very alienesque. When I was a child my grandparents gave me a copy of 'Sci-Fi Art' by Brian Aldiss - possibly one of the best gifts I have ever had. I adored the pictures in that book, still have it (minus its cover) to this day; your work wouldn't look out of place in that collection, it gives me the very same spine-tingle of excitement

I like the flair of this, nice job.
Some crits? Lets see:
The vulcano's ashes is too high in contrast and pops out too much because of that. (At least when you compare it to the contrast of the buildings that are way closer to us). And maybe some orange light coming from the rift to make the part where the character stands on pop out more.
Just my little thought on that. Keep up the good work.

Very impressive, there may be a few flaws (the moon not being luminous, repetition of buildings) but it is very well done. The man, even without his face is evidently shocked, the fires seem quite erratic and that is a good touch. Well done.

I love it...sure you're never quite satisfied as the artist, but it can still be seen as a wonderful piece by someone else.

I really like the way you rendered the sky in this.
The terraformed moon or whatever it is in the background is a really nice touch.
I actually think the way it's blurry in some places makes it that much more realistic, with haze and atmospheric/heat distortions from the volcanic craters and such.

Yes I say you should make a tutorial for this...I can't imagine why you are saying it is messy and sloppy in so many places cause I think it is amazingly good, way better then what I could do in a week!
