My dream is to live in Montana, but sadly I'm not patient enough to wait that long for it to happen. 'Tis the life of being poor. :/

That's an excellent study. Love your colours and values, they are really spot on...and they definitely do a good job at conveying a sense of freshness and ...airyness, I guess
And I really like how you define some edges more than others, feels very controlled

Great stuff =]

defiantly makes me want to go up to the park this summer and going hiking. Montana does have a lot of nice places to explore.

I can't recommend it enough. Bring bear mace if you go hiking.

Ya defiantly. Last year we had a few attacks and one of my professors I guess got way to close to a moose for his liking.

I love that quick conceptual look about this! I wish I had the ability to not fuss and just paint something like this.

gorgeous....if i may ask, what sort of brushes do you use for something like this?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

samburley In reply to StrawrberryFetish [2012-01-09 21:53:26 +0000 UTC]

This was a lot of lasso tool and then mostly flat brushes, some with more texture than others. And one diamond-shaped brush for the trees.

lasso tool? hmmm....im afraid i havent even touched mine since i dont know what that is hahah xD

i will have to experiment with it. what does it do?

samburley In reply to StrawrberryFetish [2012-01-09 22:25:45 +0000 UTC]

It's very helpful for making hard edges (like the contour of a mountain).

Wonderful work. Sorry if I'm pestering, but have you ever created or considering creating a video tutorial of your speedpaints?

I've thought about it... but I'll consider doing one for something like this.
