I really love how thought provoking this is and it shows us rather than tells us "we are all the same no matter what colour/race/ethnicity we are."

Though I think the "beautiful" part comes from our natural instincts men like curvy woman with large assets because (and they aren't thinking this in their head but it is based on instincts) they can easily birth many children it's supposed to be a sign of fertility. While woman often like men with muscles because it is a sign that they ahve a high level of testosterone, whcih also means better fertility. However, I am glad that society is slowly getting over this as most of our instincts are nearly non-existant.

I'm glad you like it!

i was thinking while i wrote this piece that beauty, as time has passed, became a subjective factor depending on where and when you lived. that said, there are faces that would be universally granted the 'phwoar' label.
but when you get down to real nitty gritty, so to speak, personality can make or break a person's looks. i know plenty of people that would have been considered unattractive had they not been packed to the gills with charisma.

I knwo what you mean it goes teh other way to, I remember there was this guy a couple years older than me that I hd a huge crush on and he was one of the best looking guys in our school and I ended up playing on his sports team (for a fun basketball league) and he ended up being a huge jerk and he jstu wasn't as attractive before

no matter how good looking they are, a nasty personality can creep into a person's face. you don't conciously register it, but markings like frown lines and 'sneer noses' can put you off a person, even though you're not quite sure why.
