Gundam 0080 Fan Art. The MS-19E Kampfer. As always i credit creativity to the Lord! This was a fun piece. One of my favorite mobile suits from the Gundam universe. This was drawn in pencil then colored in PSE. Still working on the styles and methods. I thank CG textures for some of the stuff i used in this. i aint arguing that the kampfer was bad i'm just saying it's a shame it had such thin armor. some of my favorite suits are zeon suits....some arent even suits (i salute you Hildolfr).

S'cool you love the WITP, quality Gundam anime. That is true though, gotta say it. The Kampfer is a blitz buggy, zoom in, blow it all up, zoom out. Needed to save the weight for that 2:1 thrust ratio, y'know. Now, the Alex's arm gats were 90mm, so that was some serious firepower, the usual GM gun with twice the ROF. At close range, yeah... Alex was the worst case for the Kampfer, since the overbuilt Gundam had the prototype virtual cockpit, and good use of combat data, since the arm guns were for Zeon MS who charged in when the rifle was empty or the shield was unavailable.

one of my favorite mobile weapons of zeon isn't even a mobile suit, but was in it's own classification. I'm talking about the awesome if somewhat impractical YMT-05 Hildolfr, that thing fought like a champion in it's only fight and it makes me wonder what would have happened if it was mass produced. Shame they abandoned it after it was rendered inoperable due to the pilot's death

I'm not sure what the Hidolfer was, I think it had a generic name like "Mobile Weapon". As a semi-transforming Zakutank it rocked in its own way, and a few more certainly wouldn't have hurt against the conventional EFF forces. The moral of the story though was that a Zeon mechatank was no better than the Guntank. It was yesterday's news, and the Magella heavy tank could do about as well for a fraction of the cost, and six relatively inexperienced Feddy Zaku pilots still took it down. Sad to say, Hidolfer would've done poorly against the various GM types; the heroic 008th MS Team in their Ground Gundams could've taken it down in a single episode.

it's classification was mobile tank since it's called "YMT" MT for mobile tank and Y is just the zeon designation for an experimental unit

which makes me wonder why the Zudah isn't designated as YMS-04/YMS-10 Zudah since it was a prototype or an experimental mobile suit, since Zeon doesn't use E for Experimental it stands for Excavator i think

YMS-10 was the Pezun Dowadge, an experimental MSV design that's not widely known. Since several units of MS-04 Zudah were manufactured and deployed as per IGLOO, the Zudah could then be designated a limited-production MS. That's a realistic level of bureaucratic pigeonholing, nee?
