Description

Ipomea Purpurea (also called "Ipomée Volubilis" in French) is a species of flowers with various colors that mainly grows in tropical areas, and blooms once per year for a few months.

This climbing plant gives quite a lot of flowers, and can grow exponentially depending on its environment...

Despite its beauty, this flower can be quite toxic if eaten and have effects similar to LSD (I mean... at this point, if someone still wants to eat it you can basically guess what's the purpose of their behavior, right?)

A few things have been going on in my life, including some move. So, I wanted to customize my new room in a way or another to make it somewhat more "personal". And, considering the good lightning from up here, I decided to go back to my curiosity with plantations!

And, among all... I had that! Why these flowers you would ask? Because I remember when in my early childhood my parents had some blue ones on a pot over the balcony. I didn't know they could be invasive though, as I don't remember exactly how they were arranged.

So, now... the experiment surely is pretty... risky! That's why I only planted two seeds (that I lost somewhere in the compost and can't find anymore)

I could see three possibilities though:

- either they will just not survive long enough, because the environment might not be good enough for them,

- either their growth will be limited,

- or, either I'll have to cut the stems from time to time to make sure it stays where it should.

I might just put them outside my window but I fear they might climb the building and people from outside might wonder what's up with all these flowers... you know, that's some student acommodation.

I haven't found much online about them being planted inside, so... i don't know?
