For 's Humanized Media Controls Contest

Yay it's Play! I kinda like how her hair turned out, very unique indeed. Also there were a few things I forgot to say in the last post. Obviously Amandla and Belah's last names are a play on the term 'Power,' which is what Amandla's Media Control for is, but did you know that their first names mean something as well? Amandla's means 'power' in of itself in Zulu, and Belah's means 'destroying,' and it's actually from the Bible. The sisters both have the powers of life and death respectfully, Amandla possessing the ability to create and form, whereas Belah has the ability to destroy, makes sense right?

I also forgot to mention that it's actually the villain who gave all these characters their abilities, and it was the Motherboard who informed them about the powers that they had. The antagonist bestowed it upon them in hopes that they would abuse the powers and turn corrupt right away, becoming members of his evil army, but luckily Motherboard was able to get to them first and let them know about it and warn them ahead of time. ALSO, the characters can not become corrupt while in the database, only in the real world, but the villain is much stronger when he's IN Media Control form, so that's where the conflict arises.

Sorry, just thought I'd throw that out there. Anywho, this is Damini Playton, who's first name means 'Lightning' in Hindu, and yes, that does mean Damini is Indian. She has the power of Starting, to make something automatically happen right away before it is due, or take something out of the process of being frozen, both physically and in time. For example, she can make a hot dog cook right away, she can make a blast come out of someone's hand before they can make it, things like that. She's also extremely tech savvy and uses her intelligence in areas where her strength fails her.

Story:

Damini Playton was born into a family of technicians, and as expected, was to take her place in the family's business. Similar to Amandla, she was alright with this plan, seeing as though she was already fairly intelligent as it was, and being a technician was virtually in her blood. As a child she was a very hyper, fun loving little thing, but the moment she reached her late teen years, and was old enough to start working, she took on her serious demeanour and turned into the nonchalant young adult that she is to this day. She's one of the best electricians in the city, and thus she's almost always on duty and is constantly called for jobs, which is why you'll never see her out of one of her uniforms, because she's ready for anything.

During an emergency call, Damini forgot to inspect the home dweller's electrical circuits, and a sudden power surge ran through the system, sparks coming off of the area she was working on and attacking her eye, damaging it so severely that it was rendered useless. After the incident, Damini became very self conscious about the injury and started hiding it behind her hair, not wanting anyone to comment about it.

She was taken into the database while using her tablet, and ever since then has made sure to keep both of her little secrets to herself, finding it relatively easy since she's not exactly a social butterfly.

I gave her only one working eye because her Media Controls character design only has one eye, and although I was able to work that design into Belah by giving her a third magical eye, I wanted to do something different here. I was gonna make it so that she was born without another eye as a sort of birth defect, but I was too scared to search up references and information So I made it an accident injury, I thought it would add to her character and story more and add a bit of emotion to her more calm, meh persona. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course! I think it's neat! ^^

Anywho, lemme know what you guys think, I appreciate all feedback, critiques and comments. Speaking of comments...
