Samichii — How I color (TUTORIAL?)

Soo ill be explaining how i usually color when it comes to this type of style.program used: Paint tool SAI
layers used: 1-3
1 - I start my drawing with a sketch its okay if its messy but not too messy~
so basically you will have two layers the background and the lineart.
2 - I created a new layer below the lineart. color it with basic colors (WUT?) you know what i mean lol.
3 - I added the highlights and shadings. i usually color it in the same layer so that it'll blend or something?
4 - I merged the 2 layers (lineart and color) add more details and blend the messy line art~
5 - Merged everything, cleaned the edges and hair so its not that messy anymoaar ;v;
since im not very good with colors i used overlay so the color is not that bland orz... yeah.
basically i just copied the layer and change the "mode" from normal to overlay and lowered down the brightness.
Im no PRO okay? this is just how I color just to let you guys know~

At first i used 3 layer for lineart color and background then halfway through i merged it all. so i used about 2 layers ;v;

I basically just use brush tool and for blending i just lower the density of the brush tool. you can also use the water tool for blending
i just use brush because i prefer a more rough type of blending~

You click the button beside the delete layer and erase layer.
its the one with the scissors and an arrow pointing down.
