One day while playing A Hat in Time, I made a realization. All the characters that knew what the time pieces were capable of had some reason for keeping the pieces. The Conductor and DJ Grooves want to rig the past award ceremonies so that they get a flawless record of first place. Mustache Girl wants to rid the world of bad guys. But Snatcher never says why he wants to keep at least one time piece. The realization I had was that Snatcher must want to use the time pieces to go back in time to fix what happened to him. To erase his pain and trauma. To live the life he deserved but never got.

A realization that makes you regret taking the time pieces from him...
