Description
Ink on Canvas. I tried to deviate from the traditional forms of arabic calligraphyy and have always loved the chinese form - the way the calligraphy is strong and simple but raw and framed in white with the artist's signature in red. being on am creative streak last week, i decided to see what would happen with this idea- and i like the result.the main text says "Allah"- God or "The One"
the text in red reads "And glorify the name of your Lord- the Greatest."

i love how the raw energy of the strokes seems to be condensed down to those lines signifying a/the deity.

Although I am not religious, this callygraphy series is really powerful. It reminds me so of the best works of Vaughan Oliver.
Keep up the good work!
