ok so for a while now I had been kind of sick of generic dragon form and had wanted to edit Aden's dragon form. I kept wanting to make him fluffy too but I could just never get it right. Until today. I suddenly had an idea and dropped my homework to work on this.
so yeah excuse the crappy colouring as I just wanted to get this done and sorted out
basic things may change, but so far i am much happier. i'll eventually have a pic of his human-ish form to match

actually, this coloring form works in a way. it retains the "soul" of sketches. I like it personally.
If I may offer some constructive critisisim, the chest is kind of... large? I read the fluffy part, and would suggest looking at pictures of dogs/cats that are like that in real life to see how the fur moves and forms on them. the best referance is real life.
The mane looks great, and if it's supposed to be spikyyou hit it on the nail, t not however, try giving them some more down curve in a gentle S shape. this gives it a more natural look.
Other than that I hae no complaints, I love how the body fur is drawn, and I could stand to learn from this pic. Once again, I like the coloring style, it's not as "stiff" as a fully colored one, the overlap gives it a mystcal glowy look. andthe liitle touches like the gree on the front paws is just enough to make that difference, but not so much that the eyes grow tired of it.
I also like simple backgrounds, it makes you focus more on the subject.

oh if i hated it i wouldn't have submitted it, it is just different and quicker from my usual colouring methods. But I do agree that it fits with the sketch of it and that they work together
Yeah i did notice that the chest is a bit large, but after I scanned the image and started colouring it I didn't feel like going back haha. I will have a better reference for him another time. This was just to get the idea out of my head so I could focus on work again XD
