I never thought it was possibe to make Sheogorath this adorable. I want to give him chin scritchies. Anyways, I think you've done a really nice job here. I love the lighting in this image and I also really love the colours you've used. I also really like how you've put Sheogorath in the Dementia half of the image and Haskill in the Mania half in order to show the contrast of the colours you've used. I also really love the facial expressions you've given them here because knowing them both from the game, the expressions match them brilliant. Really nice work with this.

This is... amazing! It's supposed to represent Mania and Dementia, am I right? I really like the way you drew him - it makes him look so... not insane.

Nice work on this! I particularly like the grass effects around the rock and the tree.
I'm considering buying Oblivion. Is it worth getting? And should I get it for PC or Xbox?

Yes, it's worth it. And get it for the PC. On the PC you can use the console to enter in cheats and stuff. Which is actually necessary because sometimes uyou may need to reset certain variables--the game is amazingly fun but it can get extremely buggy. That's why you want the console for when, say, you need to respawn the NPC that's vital to your finishing a certain quest after he accidentally walks off the bridge and dies. Stuf like that. Doesnt happen all the time but its nice to be able to fix it. Also, you can do some pretty funny things with the console too.
But anyway, yeah. PC version.
Advantages of PC version over xbox version:
1. much easier to customize controls to fit your gameplay style
2. Console lets you use cheats and other codes to reset variables
3. Only the PC version can be modded. And mods are fun.
But you might want to check your computer on cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/srtest/ first. It's a neat little site that tells you if your computer has the minimum requirements to play games, and, if not, exactly what needs improving so you can. It's helped me out a lot in the past. That way you can avoid buying games only to find out your computer hates them and won't run them.

I played it. Ended up borrowing it from a friend, along with the Shivering Isles.
What can I say? Awesome. Loving Sheogorath's pose on the picture!

Thanks! PC version it is then. That's actually better for me too, as it's easier to hide from my mother.
Thanks for the link too. My laptop's had problems with games in the past despite its high specs, so hopefully this should clear it up...

Hee. In the past couple months, I've become a total Elder Scrolls nerd. I liked Oblivion so much that I actually went out and got Morrowind, which I'm playing now. I'm also thinking about playing the *really* early ones. Yanno, Arena and Daggerfall. Do you know if they're worth it?

They're free downloads from elderscrolls.com, and yes, they are quite worth it. I love them, they have a classic style. However, having played Oblivion before Morrowind, I find Morrowind hard to swallow; it's just so hard to enjoy after the sheer epicness of the Elder Scrolls IV.

I dunno, I'm finding Morrowind quite awesometastic. It's much more of a challenge. Though the retarded jump animation took some getting used to. Also, the fact that there weren't as many interesting people early in the game. But I found them later.

Hey I'm playing the game in tandem with a roleplay with my friend, so some REALLY crazy commentary comes out of that.
Also: Corprus is now officially "Magic Cancer".

I can't really give much crit as this work is just that damn good, the work in detail is magnificent, seriously, i'm quite impressed by this, goes to show that the more you work on something the better it is but after a while i would get sick of it to be honest, i don't have enough patience, kudos to you for getting through it and making an awesome picture.
The only thing i can really nit pick at is possible the figures themselves, im not entirely sure but it doens't looke like sheogorath is 100% sitting on that mushroom, it kinda looks like he's just floating there or that it doesn't really fit in with the mushrooms, maybe some shadows and creases on the mushroom might help to make it look more like he's sitting on it.
Secondly maybe a little work on the figures themselves? I dunno, but there is always room for improvement i guess. Sheogoraths figure looks perfect but Haskills looks a little flawed at the abdomen, but that might just be me, again this is just nit picking to the extreme, so i hope you don't mind, the work is really good overall and the detail is truly magnificent

Hm yeah I was worried about Haskill, he looked a little out of proportion.
Also, there were shadows on the mushroom tree sapling where Sheo's sitting, but when I added in the spots to the mushroom they got way harder to see.

Yeah i can vagually see the shadow on the mushroom now, but not to worry, this work is awesome, can't see anything wrong with the background at all :3

Your use of color is great! I especially like the rainbow rock and overcast sky, but the detailing on Sheogorath's robe is... is admirable.
However, the rays of light interfere with the picture a bit (note Haskill's tunic). Another point would be the trees- yes, their texture is well done, but due to light sources (ex. the sky, the sun [from the direction the rays of light are coming from?]), there should be a bit more shading on them.
All in all it's amazing, but there are some points to consider.

Hey Sammi, this is really cool! I love the depth you've given to the drawing through the use of the environment! The colorful wild growth is really awesome and imaginative as well! I also like the contrast you've included, I'm not sure if maybe this represents good vs evil, life vs death, and/or spring vs winter... but the fade from one to the other is subtle yet powerful too!
Not to overlook the characters themselves though! I really like their design, it makes me very curious as to what they look like "un-chibified" Not knowing who they are, the piece gives me the impression that they are keepers of something, perhaps the environment? Or maybe it's nothing deep, maybe they are just chillin'?
I some times look TOO deeply into things, so please forgive me if I've done so now. Anyhow, it really shows the time and effort put into this in the small subtle details. Not just of the characters clothing, but in the shadows of the trees and the lines of bark, the blades of grass... very nice!
A couple of suggestions would be to create a stronger sense of light source. I see that you have rays of light, but this does not necessarily reflect on the surroundings. Also, objects far in the distance you may not want to ink, that way you strengthen the atmospheric perspective you've already started. If you don't already know what I mean, here is a link with some examples: [link]
Overall, a VERY nice illustration, I really feel like I'm looking at a moment from a story! Keep up the awesome work!

The characters are Sheogorath and Haskill, from the Shivering Isles expansion to Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion. Look it up--it's a great game.

I like it! The chibification looks great, especially because he's sitting on a toadstool. Lots of detail too and swirly colours on the rock. Just a question though, why does the rock have hands? Is it a zombie?
