Description I did this as a major piece for school art. It's actually two optical illusions. The first is the 'almonds' illusion, where everything looks like its wobbling as you look around the picture. The second is a stereogram of Pacman, chasing some circles. You can see the 3D stereogram by crossing your eyes the right way.

I used a program to generate the stereogram by inputting a texture and a black and white image. The output was tiny (480x640 pixels) and I used that to make a large one by redoing the whole image in photoshop. Printed it out and stuck acrylic over it to make it look shiny.

I wonder how you redid whole stereogram in Photoshop?

If you look closely you can see lines running through the pattern. I just found all of them, and found that they were all from the black and white pacman image. I just got a Hi-def version of the original almond pattern and then cut parts out of it in photoshop and layed them back over

wow, that's a lot of work! I'd rather use free Photoshop Stereogram plugin . it doesn't have limitations on output image size.

Haha well if I had known about that then, then I might have used It was a project for school and I needed to display process and an actual effort so I guess it was worth it in a way. Took me a long time but mainly because my computer was too slow...
