Description
Here's the next chapter of my parody of Dumbo, Shy Little Kitten The Wonder Cat! In this scene, the night of the pyramid act finally arrives!! Will she be able to successfully pull off the act? Honestly I think everyone knows this question if you've seen the original Disney Classic by now. Enjoy!!

The next evening, Captain Ector's Family Circus was opened to the public. Customers and patrons were around left and right. All along the midway, customers enjoyed the carnival rides from the ferris wheel to the Flying Trapeze swings, while others were enjoying the side show acts that were all set along the paths which led to the striped big top!! Many of the side show acts included snake charmers, cats and dogs doing gymnastics, magicians and many more. One of the acts was a blue unicorn named Trixie who performed magic. "Ladies and gentleman," She spouted, "Prepare to be amazed, as the great and powerful Trrrrixie performs her grrrreatest magic tricks for your enjoyment!!" But as she was doing her magic tricks, one of the patrons, a bratty boy, said, "That's not real magic!! Your magic is fake!!!" Soon the unicorn turned to the boy annoyed. "Excuse me!?!" she said. "Yeah, your magic is fake!! You don't even look like a real unicorn!" "Is that so," Trixie said with a smug look, "If I wasn't a real unicorn with real magic, could I do this?" Then she prepared to do a magical chant as her horn glowed with purple aura. "Filigree, Apogee, Pedigree, Perigee." she chanted as she blasted magic at the boy turning him into a rabbit. This made the customers and patrons look in awe while the rabbit looked shocked by this. But as she turned him back into a boy, she asked, "Any more claims of Trrrixie being fake boy?" "No, nonono," The boy said walking towards the big top, "Bye!" Then as he rushed off he shouted, "Mommy!!!"

Others grabbed snacks including cotton candy, caramel apples, popcorn, and soda as they made their way towards the big top to see what the show had to offer this year. Meanwhile backstage, Shy and the others were getting ready as they saw the crowds gathering in the bleachers. "Look at the crowds guys!!" Pinkie said excited. "Yeah, it's quite the full house!!" Dunlap added. "You ready for this Shy?" Ed asked as she was in her attire ready for her act. "Yeah, I am.......I think." she said as she saw the crowds peeking from behind the curtains. "You are gonna do great Shy," Tawny added. "We're all behind you little putty tat!" Tweety added. As the customers and patrons filled the bleachers getting ready for the show, the lights dimmed while drums rolled. Then a spotlight shined on the center ring, where the ringmaster, Captain Ector appeared before the audience. "Ladies and gentlemen!! Boys and girls!! Friends young and old, and children of all ages!!" He chanted, "I am your master of the center ring, Captain Ector!!" As they applauded, he continued, "And now, I give to you, the one and only, Captain Ector's Family Circus!!!"

As soon as he said this, the lights went back to normal as performers and animals of all shapes and sizes entered the stage and peformed for the customers, all while grand and exciting circus music played. Acrobats and tightrope walkers entered the stage and flew among the trapeze and tightropes. Cats and dogs balanced and did tricks with their trainers. Tamers did tricks with lions and tigers including jumping on platforms and jumping through hoops. Performers on horses and ponies circlied the ring as they balanced and did tricks for the audience. Soon after that, a pegasus with blue skin and a rainbow mane named Rainbow Dash flew around the ring while uttering out a, "AWWW YEAH!!!" Soon enough clowns scattered through the ring as they acted silly and funny towards the audience. One of them named Binky shouted as he honked his horn, "HEEEEEY KIDS!!!!" Just then as the clowns all went backstage, Binky saw Shy and her friends as he said with a chuckle, "HEEEEEEEY MISFITS!!" "HEEEEEEY BINKY!!" Pinkie said excitedly. "Oh great.........him," Dunlap said as he put a paw to his face. "Wow!!! Those guys will laugh at anything!!" Then he turned to Shy as she was getting ready, "Hey don't sweat it little kitty, we got them all warmed up for you."

Then as all the usual acts were through, Goliath the Great and the rest of the elephant herd along with Isis and her cats came out to the center ring as the lights dimmed once more, leaving spotlights surrounding the center ring with the elephants and cats on the outside with Ector in the center. "Ladies and gentlemen, we will now present for your entertainment, the most stupendous, most magnificent, super-colossal spectacle," Ector chanted as he pointed towards a red, white, and blue spotted ball, "On this tiny, little, insignificant ball, we will construct for you, a pyramid!!! Not of wood, not of concrete..." The cats and elephants listened nearby with amused looks, as Catty and Delilah whispered to their fellow peformers. "To hear him talk, you'd think he was going to do it." Catty said to Goliath. "I know, quite the chatter box." Delilah added with a snicker. "Hmph!" Goliath sputtered while hearing him go on, "The stuffed shirt!" "...pyramid of pondering, pulsating pachyderms and felines!" Ector finally finished as his shirt rolled up a bit, before he rolled it down. "I give you the elephants and the cats!" He said. With that, he blew on his whistle, as music started being performed and the circus elephants while the cats perched on top of them went around the ring. Goliath the Great got on the ball first, trying his best to not fall off. Prissy was the next pachyderm to get on, but she had a little trouble because of her losing balance. "Aren't we a bit clumsy?" Goliath said as both Isis and Snowbell prepared to climb up.

The next pachyderm was Catty with Delilah on her back to get on as she climbed up both Goliath and Prissy. Prissy groaned while Si and Am avoided her weight while climbing up themselves. "Putting on a little weight," Prissy asked, "Aren't you honey?" "You're no cream puff yourself, dearie." Catty said in response. "Quiet up there. Tend to your work, everyone" Goliath said while trying to balance himself underneath all the weight on top of him. "You heard him girls, and Snowbell," Isis said, "We gotta get up there and make this pyramid." Then as another elephant went up while Chloe was perched on top of her, one pulled another up with a trunk by the tail but accidentally thumped the pyramid. Down below, Goliath was met with a foot to the eye while Snowbell was on his face. "Keep climbing!" He sputtered, "And you, get your fur out of my eyes!!" As Snowbell climbed up, he chanted, "Ooooh, what a grouch." "I heard that!!" Goliath shouted making Snowbell jump and climb up faster. Then as one of the elephants continued climbing upward, she yelped when she almost lost her balance. Goliath groaned from the weight being piled on him. Exhausted, he said in his breath, "Steady everyone!" Just then however, Chloe and Prissy almost fell off, but were saved by a trunk pulling them back up. Chloe sighed in relief from this while she was handed a platform which was then given from cat to cat until they reached up to Isis.

Behind the curtains backstage, Shy and the rest of her friends watched as the pyramid was being set up. "Whew," Tweety said as he closed the curtains, "That was too cwose!" "Yeah," Pinkie added, "One more slip up they would've blown the act for sure." "Alright, they're almost ready now Shy! Remember to wave that little flag?" Tawny asked."Uh huh!" she answered as she pulled out her flag and waved it, "Like this?" "Now you got it Shy!!" Ed said excitedly, "If that won't get your family out of the clink, I don't know what will!!" "Okay Shy, you can stop waving it now." Dunlap added chuckling, "We saw you." "So what am I going to do?" Shy asked. "Okay Shy! All you gotta do is wun out of this woom, jump onto the springboard and get on top of them." Tweety answered. "Just like in rehearsals!!" Ed said. "Except for lights, music, and lots of crowds!! You can do it!!" Pinkie added. "Lights, music, and..............crowds?" Shy said with a gulp as she looked towards the scene towards the center ring.

Back in the ring, the elephant and cat pyramid was finally complete as Captain Ector turned to audience once more. "Ladies and gentlemen, you have now seen the impossible accomplished in front of your faces!" He chanted, "Seven jungle giants, and five fluffy felines......" Goliath groaned and started to sweat with all the other elephants' weight on top of him while Snowbell irritatingly grunted at this. "OH COME ON!!!" Snowbell yowled, "GET ON WITH IT!!!" "That windbag! Why doesn't he come to the point?" Goliath said while still holding on to the massive weight on top of him. "And now, I present the world's smallest little feline, who will spring, from her springboard in one spring, to the top of this pyramid, waving her little flag for the grand climax!!" Captain Ector chanted while Isis looked down below with the platform in her paws while trying not to lose balance at the top of the pyramid. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you........Shy Little Kitten!!!" Captain Ector chanted.

The drums rolled as trumpets were heard giving a fanfare, and the curtains opened to allow the bright light to shine on Shy who looked around at the applauding crowds. The kitten looked around nervously as the kids laughed as she backed away, with second thoughts about this. "Come on, Shy! Get going!" Dunlap said. He, Ed, Tawny, Pinkie, and Tweety attempted to push Shy out, but she hardly budged. "Shy, what's wrong little one?" Tawny asked her. "I'm too scared! I don't know if I can do this!" Shy said trembling. "It's too late to back out now! It's your cue!" Pinkie said. "You'we on Shy! Sorry, but this is fow your own good." Tweety said. Then the canary quickly pulled out a needle and jabbed it in the kitten's behind, making Shy yowl in pain as she suddenly darted out of the curtained area and ran out very fast. The drumroll soon played as Shy rushed towards the springboard for her big leap. Soon enough, bad luck decided to strike as the kitten slipped along the path and bounced over the springboard!

Shy yelped in fear as she was sent flying...right at the Pyramid of Pachyderms and Felines! Suddenly, Shy hit the pachyderms hard before being sent right back. As a result of the impact, the circus pachyderms and cats yelped as they ended up losing their balance, sending them rolling on the ball completely out of control. As Shy landed on the floor and got up, she gasped in alarm and fear. Captain Ector yelped as he ducked upon seeing his vision turn into a complete disaster. Shy's friends yelped as they hid behind the curtains, closing their eyes while Tweety and Pinkie peeked out and saw the terrible sight. The elephants and felines teetered and swayed around, trying to keep themselves from falling off the ball, while the audience screamed in terror as they ran away and out of the tent. Soon enough as they saw Shy cover eyes while cowering in the center ring, her friends gasped in horror as they saw the pyramid rolling towards her like mad. "Guys, LOOK!!" Pinkie gasped. "They're headed straight for her!!!" Ed panicked. "RUN SHY," Tawny shouted, "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!" As Shy heard this, she looked behind her as the toppling pyramid was right behind her. She soon yowled in terror upon seeing the pachyderms and felines roll toward him, making her run as fast as her paws could carry her. Goliath the Great, having trouble seeing because of Prissy on his face, used his trunk to feel around then felt Shy's soft fur in front of him. The angry bull elephant got Prissy off his face before yelling at the frightened kitten.

"Out of my way, assassin!" Goliath shouted as Shy fearfully hid behind a large platform, making Goliath and the others gasp as they were too late to turn away from the platform she was hiding behind. The elephants and cats trumpeted and screamed as they crashed right into it, sending them all flying off the ball. Shy could only stay behind the platform and shield her eyes in fear, so she couldn't see the act going horribly wrong. The pachyderms and felines all tumbled down, crashing into some of the beams, platforms, walls, wires, supports and tightropes like mad. They trumpeted and yowled as Prissy crashed into the central tent pole, smashing it in two, making the entire tent slowly collapse! All of the workers, animals, performers, and customers evacuated the big top, which collapsed until the whole thing ended up in ruins. All was silent and still while the lights of the circus went out. But as the big top flapped slowly to the ground, something moved in the flaps. It was Shy as she peeked out of a hole in the tent and sadly waved her flag as instructed, which broke in the progress.
