En el hipotético caso de que la Alianza Rebelde hubiera sido derrotada, ¿habría tenido el Imperio Galáctico alguna oportunidad frente a la armada Yuuzhan Vong? Yo creo que sí. Teniendo la Estrella de la Muerte, la Pistola Galáctica, y una Marina Imperial con una vasta cantidad de cazas, destructores y súper destructores, seguro el Imperio le hubiera puesto una paliza a los invasores extra-galácticos.
Además grandes estrategas militares como Tarkin, Veers o el Gran Almirante Thrawn estarían al mando de las operaciones, y siempre se puede contar con la habilidad de Lord Vader. No olvidemos además al propio Palpatine, quien puede desencadenar Tormentas de Fuerza que tragan flotas enteras, y hasta influir en las mentes de los soldados para combatir fieramente con un fanatismo suicida, tal como los Yuuzhan Vong harían.
Pero gracias al cobarde gobierno de la Nueva República, la Galaxia cayó ante estos invasores.

In the hypothetical case that the Rebel Alliance had been defeated, would the Galactic Empire have had any chance in front of the Yuuzhan Vong Navy? I think so. Having the Death Star, the Galactic Gun, and an Imperial Navy with a vast number of fighters, Star Destroyers, and Super Star Destroyers, the Empire would surely have beaten the extra-galactic invaders.
In addition, great military strategists such as Tarkin, Veers or Grand Admiral Thrawn would be in charge of operations, and Lord Vader's ability can always be counted on. Let us not forget Palpatine himself, who can unleash Force Storms that swallow entire fleets, and even influence the minds of soldiers to fight fiercely with suicidal fanaticism, just as the Yuuzhan Vong would do.
But thanks to the cowardly government of the New Republic, the Galaxy fell to these invaders.
